Proud momma

Thinking of the big ways I've been blessed and at the top are, in no particular order;

Jesse Christian!  My sweet Jesse just turned 13 last week, yes I have 3 teens living under the roof!  He, like most teens, asked for cash for his big day.  However, when I asked him what he was thinking of doing with his money, his response was not what I was thinking I'd hear.  He planned to put his b-day $ together with the money he had been saving and pick out gifts in our World Vision catalog!  I just finished helping him order:  2 goats, 13 small farm animals, care for 2 orphans, $400 worth of medicine and vaccinations.  Proud momma moment watching him get excited to give rather than receive!

Jordan Jacklin!  She is now officially in remission!  Horray and what a wonderful blessing it is to know her levels are normal and I don't feel like I need to bubble-wrap her before she drives out the drive way!  I'm so proud of how she handled her many lab draws, dr appointments, hospitalizations, etc, etc... She never wavered knowing that God was always in control of what was to happen to her.  Amazing!  She has kept up with all her school work, which includes classes at GVSU and being on the Deans List! She always sees the brighter side of things and she is a constant reminder to me of Gods goodness.

Solomon Lee!  My non-stop-talking, duct-tape loving, always doing a craft-3rd grader!  He is so quick witted and uses such big words I sometimes stop and look at him remembering that he's only in the 3rd grade! We totally picked the right name for him!  Wise Solomon.  LOL!  Solomon actually means peaceful, which we thought was appropriate for our 4th child.  :) Solomon has recently talked about making his profession of faith in Jesus Christ!!  Nothing could make this momma more proud.

Gabriel Todd!  Many don't know that he's completed his course at MSU and is now a working man!  Can't believe my baby is almost 20 and working full time!  His commencement is next month and can't wait to see him walk across that stage!  His degree is in Dairy Management and he's got a job working with Todd at the dairy he manages.  They work well together and Todd is amazed at all he's learned.  Amazingly, when we went to MSU to help him pack, Todd walked in and announced that the room Gabe was in, had been Todd's when Todd was at MSU!  He also noted not a lot had been changed.  Lol.

Kyah Gracelin Marie!  Our sweet little 3 1/2 year old is growing and is so smart. I know everyone says that about their child, but she really hasn't missed a beat!   She learned how to zip zippers this week and is so proud.  :) She dresses herself now, which usually includes something pink and something that zips, along with boots.  Loves playing baby dolls and tells Todd and they are his granddaughters!  Lol!  I'm getting better and quicker at putting twists and beads in her hair.  She loves shaking her head and hearing the beads clink together.

Can't wait to share stories about "T" and "B" some day.  Anxious to know all about them!!!

  1. Gabe, Jordan, Jesse, Solomon, and Kyah are all wonderful children and you are allowed to be proud! We love them all! Such positive, wonderful qualities in each of them. You will also influence T and B for Christ and in other fantastic ways! I pray they come home soon! I'm so excited to hear that Solomon is thinking about profession of faith soon! That is SUCH a huge blessing!
